Critical Infrastructure/Essential Business Update
Critical Infrastructure / Essential Business
Ozark Steel is an essential supplier of materials, products, and services to manufacturers deemed critical to the nation’s infrastructure as defined by 42 U.S.C. 5195c€, and Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD21). We are also a supplier to a prime contractor to the United States government, who has been identified as “mission essential”. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cyber and Infrastructure Security (CISA) program issued guidance regarding the Nation’s “Essential Critical Infrastructure” to ensure its continuity of operations. Specifically, CISA’s guidance said:
“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry… you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule”
Consequently, under these classifications, and to continue to support critical infrastructure and United States mission essential operations, Ozark Steel will continue to maintain ongoing operations at both of our Tulsa, Oklahoma facilities.
We will also continue to follow our established Covid-19 protocols throughout our operations including administrative, production, and logistics, and amend/revise those protocols as needed to ensure the safety of our employees, customers and vendors. We will also monitor US government, CDC and WHO guidelines to ensure our protocols, policies and procedures are at minimum in compliance with those guidelines.
